Harry Bout is a Dutchman in a Michigan prison since 1985 on false charges. Harry was convicted of a murder he has not and could not have committed.
Harry did not get a fair trial: for instance, the judge did not allow the jury to see the evidence in situ for themselves, which was crucial for his defense, because police witnesses had changed the mapping of the house on a drawing, and this was allowed in court.
During an appeal, 20 years later, Harry had the exact same judge as at the original trial. The judge did not give his approval to let the defense interview Harry’s former girlfriend, who herself had been a suspect also.
Also, Harry’s witnesses were intimidated by police.
Harry Bout is the longest incarcerated Dutch prisoner in the world…
